What is DID?
Previously called multiple personality disorder (MPD). Dissociative Identity Disorder is a trauma-based dissociative disorder where a person's sense of self splits into distinct identity states, also called a "system". These identity states are commonly referred to as "alters", each with its own patterns of thinking and behavior.
Each system is unique and experiences this disorder differently. This page's goal is mostly for close friends or curious individuals about OUR system. If you're here to judge, give your opinion, or anything of the sort, we do not need to know what you think. Nor do you need us to feed you unrequested information down your throat, so let’s make a deal...
If you're here to learn about us for any reason, please stay, but if you're here for any other reason, go here instead -> CLICK ME FOR LEWD STUFF
DID is too complex to fully explain here, so I recommend searching for resources online if you're curious. Here is one, just click this -> Read this!
Now that we got that out of the way... Here's our system...
What is our system like?
Outer Layer
Consists of groups of alters that have an equal amount of presence in the system.
USSER
She/Her
Alter of CONTROL, passionate about bubbles, coding and organization. Open to talk if she's fronting.
MAX
He/Him
Alter of RAGE, loves fencing (German longsword HEMA) and outdoors- related things. Can be a bit aggressive but usually open to talk respectfully when fronting.
ASHER
He/Him
Alter of ENERGY, passionate about cooking, food in general and learning about others. More than open to talk when fronting.
ISABELLA
She/They
Alter of MATURITY, loves listening to others, exploring new things, freedom and occasionally drinking. Gladly open to talk when fronting.
MERIDA
She/Her
Alter of Mischief, quite naive but very playful. Struggles to respect boundaries and finds joy in annoying others. Does not have any bad intentions; she's open to talk when fronting but be wary!
MELODY
She/Her
Alter of Self-Care, quite social, loves art, terrible isekai animes, cliche ecchi moments and fun games. Friendly but quite direct and raw, open to talk when fronting.
LYDIAN
He/She
Alter of Rhythm, loves music, cleaning, feeling pretty. Quite friendly but tends to be shy when fronting. Although, he's open to talk if he is fronting.
EZRA
He/Him
Alter of Reflection, loves writing, reading, coffee and deep conversations. Quite introverted but open to talk when fronting.
NAMELESS
Any
Alter of Affable, we do not know much about her... She is non-verbal unless you ask the right thing, and prefers being named by the individual she's speaking to. So however I call her is not the same as how you will call her. Unsure if she's open to talk when fronting, we'll see.
YUKI
He/Him
Alter of Egoism, he is the "little" of our system. If for some reason you find him fronting, please do not interact. Thank you.
Core Layer
Consists of alters who have more presence in the system. Can override other alters. The core layer consists of the following alters:
NANO
They/Them
Alter of Apathy. It's ya boy. I front most of the time, so if you know "Fractal" you probably were speaking to me. I am working on fronting less so the other alters can front more, but not much to say about myself haha.
NERO
He/Him
Alter of Self-Conservation. Really negative and as of now does not like anything. Not open to talk when fronting. I recommend avoiding interaction with him.
LUA
She/Her
Alter of Obsession, will probably ignore you, so not open to talk when fronting.
Why Layers? What are these roles?
I found out about my alters when I was around 2nd grade of school. I grew up in a religious family, so my first suspicion was that I was "possessed"... To avoid being taken to church or outcast by my family I hid it, and as more alters appeared from continuous trauma, in order to organize myself I assigned each alter, including myself, a "role"... The layers are just an easy way to split the amount of presence each alter has in the system. It has been around 5–6 years since I started being more open about my DID. In this time, this is the first time I explain so much about my system in a public resource. The main reason for this is so I can just redirect people to this website when they ask about an alter or my DID. I have 0 interest in this disorder becoming my whole personality. We are much more than just our disorder, so get to know us.
I do not involve myself in plural communities on the internet for the above mentioned reasons. I already have ways of dealing with my DID and am in constant therapy for it, although if you too have DID and want to talk about it, feel free to contact us, we would love to hear how it works for you as it might help us find better ways of understanding it.
Fun Fact! The reason why we are called "Fractal" is because to us DID feels like "recursion" of one's identity: individuals forming from split individuals, like a snowflake fractal pattern.
